Hot Wax Play Candle - Blood Red

This gorgeous hand made candle is custom made for wax play. We had been on the look out for excellent quality wax play candles for a long time before we came across this wonderful handmade, locally produced product.

This one is made with wax that melts at 58 degrees celsius - our manufacturer's "wasabi" temperature wax (meaning their version of "hot" or high temperature, not a regular store-bought candle "hot", as regular candles are usually too hot for safe wax play at all).

Here's what she has to say about her wax:

"I started making candles for waxplay over 10 years ago as I had been burnt by the "LOW TEMP" candles we had purchased from a sex shop. I really enjoyed the sensation of wax but did not like dealing with blisters after a play session, so I went and researched how to make safe temperature candles for not only us but also our friends in the BDSM community. There just wasn't anything out there to buy.. and I wanted paraffin as it was easier to clean off. Soy is wonderful on the skin but it is a bit like lipstick and tends to soak into the skin.

I found companies that could supply me with different temperature melt points and started with 52C. We shared these waxplay candles with our kinky friends and one girl found it too hot for her as she has really sensitive skin so I went and tried a few different temps until we settled on 48C which was perfect for her. The high temp (Wasabi) came about as a beautiful lady called Satomi (one of the great Shibari riggers in the world) used my candles and said she would like it a bit hotter so 58C was created. The scald point of water is 60C so I will not go any higher than the 58C for safety reasons."
